I went looking for a fantasy book that wasn't your typical wand waving, spell chanting, teenagers acting out in school kind of book, and "The Rising" delivered! With characters that really grip you and bring you along their journey as they age and grow and find their place in the world, you're really excited to see where each chapter takes you next. I am so glad I picked this up and tried out something new!

I love this book! The characters each had something special to love about them- even the villain. I appreciated the planning and thought put into the magic system. But, best of all, I got the ending I wanted. I highly recommend this book to everyone!
