This is the Reflection in Caribbean Conjectures Volume 1, Issues 1 and 2.

These reflections are those of the five past presidents of the Caribbean Studies Association (CSA) who participated in a presidential panel at the 2021 virtual CSA Conference, which I had the privilege to chair. We represent four generations of leadership of this association and pay tribute to the 2020–2021 CSA Executive Council led by President tavis jules and Conference Coordinator Kristina Hinds and to cohost, the University of Guyana, led by Vice-Chancellor Paloma Mohamed Martin and Deputy Vice-Chancellor Melissa Ifill for the arrangements leading to a highly successful event, especially in these COVID times. The aim of the panel was to assist participants in linking the present CSA perspectives to its past and project its aspirations into the future. It provided an opportunity to reflect on the vision for the sustainability and relevance of the CSA, taking into consideration the rapidly changing world and the inflection points for scholars, policy makers and practitioners.
