Workbook 8.1 is to be used in conjunction with the Calyx Text entitled ‘Crop Production and Harvesting’. It aims to satisfy the competency requirements for 8 Caribbean Vocational Qualifications (CVQ) Units. It provides 6 practical learning exercises covering crop production systems, land preparation, and planting, fertilizing, watering and crop care of vegetables, herbs, fruit trees, root crops, pulses and grains. The completed workbook, signed by your facilitator, attests to your skills and achievements in these areas and is a ready reference for yourself and a useful record of your competence when you are assessed against the standards.
