A swimming prodigy, she sets the meet record and the fastest recorded time ever for a Jamaican swimmer in the 11-12 age group. Convinced that Zaila can go all the way to the top with first class training, the family migrates to Florida. They are correct. Zaila wins a bronze medal at the Tokyo Olympics. She is only the second Jamaican swimmer to make it to an Olympic final, and the first to make it on the podium. Winning gold at the World Championships in Budapest is next on the agenda.
