This Guidebook is based on good practice in global corporate governance, the peculiarities of governing small and medium sized companies, including startups, which may be unaccustomed to oversight by a Board, and particularly by outside investors. The Guidebook builds on the author's “real-life” experiences in governing early start-up and stage companies in which she has invested as an Angel Investor, as well as colleagues who are members of the FirstAngelsJA network, since 2015.
